Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our analytical testing services, laboratory processes, and how to get started.
We offer a full spectrum of analytical testing services including chemical analysis (HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS), microbiology testing (endotoxin, rapid sterility screening), product development support (method development, stability studies, deformulation), and compliance/QC services (batch release testing, COA generation, specification verification).
Yes. ILS Laboratories is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories. This accreditation means our laboratory operates a documented quality management system, uses validated analytical methods, maintains calibrated instruments, and employs qualified personnel. Our results are recognized and accepted by regulatory agencies worldwide.
Most standard testing projects are completed within approximately one week from sample receipt. Rush reporting is completed in three business days from the date each sample is received at the ILS laboratory; the receipt date is Day 0. Turnaround times may vary depending on the complexity of the analysis and current laboratory workload. Contact us for a specific timeline for your project.
We serve four primary industries: dietary supplements, cosmetics and skincare, peptides and biotech, and raw materials/APIs. Our testing programs are tailored to the specific regulatory requirements and quality standards of each industry, with all testing performed under our ISO 17025 accreditation.
Start by creating an account at https://portal.ils-lab.com/register. Submit your order in the portal, then print and include the portal-generated packing slip with your shipment. Ship samples to 8222 Vickers St STE 106, San Diego, CA 92111. Every submission is logged into our digital LIMS for full traceability from receipt through final reporting.
A Certificate of Analysis is an official document that reports the results of all tests performed on your sample. Our COAs are generated digitally through our LIMS platform and include a QR code for instant online verification. This allows your customers, regulators, or supply chain partners to authenticate the document directly on our website.
Yes. Our scientists can develop and validate custom analytical methods for novel compounds, unique matrices, or non-compendial applications. We follow ICH guidelines for method validation and can transfer validated methods to your internal QC laboratory if needed.
Our laboratory is equipped with advanced Shimadzu instrumentation including HPLC/UPLC systems, LC-MS and GC-MS platforms, and ICP-MS for elemental analysis. For microbiology, we use kinetic chromogenic LAL systems for endotoxin testing and DNA-based microarray platforms for rapid sterility screening.
All test results are delivered electronically through our client portal. You will receive a notification when your results are ready. Results include a full Certificate of Analysis with QR code verification. You can access your results history, download reports, and manage your projects at any time through the portal.
We offer pre-configured testing packages designed for common quality assessment needs. Our Peptide QC Panel, for example, includes purity analysis, endotoxin testing, heavy metals screening, and identity confirmation in a single submission with preferred pricing and faster turnaround. Contact us for details on available panels for your product type.
